Our Lady of Perpetual Help Chapter Prayer

Heavenly Father, Eternal Truth, we thank and praise you for the gift of our Catholic faith; may we guard it as our treasure.

Grant us grace and fortitude to advance the apostolic mission of the Order of Preachers with clarity of mind and peace of heart. Enlighten our prayer and study, and enable us to share the fruit of our contemplation with others. Protect us from the dangers of this world as we persevere, with humility and obedience, to preach the Truth and defend Your Church against heresy, error, apathy, and all other evils.

As St. Dominic bore the light of Jesus Christ in his time, let us be His light-bearers in our time. Fan anew within us the flame of our Dominican charism and help us strive with zeal for the Christian perfection to which you have called us as lay religious.

Increase the bonds of fraternal charity within our Dominican community and keep us daily mindful of our promise to faithfully live the counsels of the Gospel and our Rule. Strengthen our dedication to prayer and penance for the conversion and salvation of souls, especially of all Dominicans and their family members, living and deceased.

O Blessed Virgin Mary, our most loving Mother, keep us safe under your mantle and devoted to your Most Holy Rosary. Teach us to live in our interior cell in loving intimacy with the Holy Trinity, after your example and that of our patroness, St. Catherine of Siena.
